Adult Orthodontics
It's Never Too Late for a Confident Smile
One in three orthodontic patients today is an adult. Modern treatment is faster, more comfortable, and more discreet than most people expect. If you've been thinking about it, the best time to start is now.

Why Adults Choose Orthodontic Treatment
It's not just about aesthetics. Adults pursue orthodontic care for a wide range of reasons:
- Boost confidence and self-image
- Fix crowding that’s gotten worse over time
- Address relapse from childhood braces
- Improve oral health—straight teeth are easier to clean
- Prepare for other dental work like implants, crowns, or veneers
Whatever your reason, there's no judgment here—just a clear plan to help you reach your goals.
Treatment Options for Adults
Dr. Bonebreak will recommend the option that best fits your case, your lifestyle, and your preferences—never an upsell.
Invisalign
The most popular choice for adults. Nearly invisible removable aligners that fit seamlessly into your professional and social life. No one needs to know you’re in treatment.
Clear Ceramic Braces
Tooth-colored brackets that blend with your smile for a discreet fixed option. Ideal when Invisalign isn’t the best fit for your specific case.
Metal Braces
Still the most versatile option for complex cases. Today’s braces are smaller, sleeker, and far more comfortable than what you may remember from childhood.
Treatment That Fits Your Professional Life
We understand that as an adult, your time is valuable and your appearance matters. That's why everything about our approach is designed to work around your life.
Discreet Options
Invisalign and ceramic braces are designed to be barely noticeable—perfect for client meetings, presentations, and everyday professional life.
Flexible Scheduling
Our Monday–Thursday hours (7:45 AM – 5:30 PM) make it easy to fit appointments around your workday without major disruptions.
Fewer Visits Than You’d Expect
Modern treatment is efficient. Most adults visit every 6–10 weeks, and appointments are typically quick.
Comfortable Experience
Advanced technology means less discomfort, faster results, and a more pleasant experience than orthodontics of the past.

View Smile TransformationsWhat Makes Adult Treatment Different
Adult orthodontics is a little different from treating teens—and that's a good thing. Here's what to know:
- Adult bone is denser, so treatment may take slightly longer than for teens—but results are just as beautiful and lasting.
- Adults tend to be highly motivated and compliant, which often leads to excellent outcomes.
- We may coordinate with your general dentist for comprehensive care, especially if you need restorative work.
- Treatment plans are tailored to your unique dental history, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Common Questions from Adult Patients
Am I too old for braces?
Not at all. Healthy teeth can be moved at any age. We’ve treated adults well into their 50s, 60s, and beyond with excellent results.
How long does adult treatment take?
Typically 12 to 24 months, depending on complexity. During your consultation, Dr. Bonebreak will provide an estimated timeline specific to your treatment plan.
Can I get Invisalign if I had braces as a kid?
Yes. Relapse—teeth shifting after previous treatment—is one of the most common reasons adults seek orthodontic care. Invisalign is often a great solution.
How much does adult treatment cost?
Every case is different. We accept all PPO insurance, offer no-interest in-house payment plans, and accept CareCredit. We’ll review all options at your consultation.
What about the consultation fee?
Adult consultations are $50. This covers a comprehensive exam, digital imaging, and a personalized treatment discussion with Dr. Bonebreak.
